Cardinal markers are very similar at first glance; here’s a few tips to help you remember which is which.
North and South are fairly straight forward as the top markers (arrows) face up on the North cardinal and down on the South.
The way I remember the East and West is as follows;
The arrows on the West cardinal point toward each other resembling a “W”ine glass.
The arrows on the East cardinal face away from each other resembling an “E”gg.
So with North and South easy to remember you really just need to remember either the Wine glass or The Egg to differentiate The East and West cardinals.
